SIDDHARTHANAGAR, NEPAL — June 2025 — In a major milestone for Nepal’s aviation and economic future, Pacific Group has been officially appointed by Aerothai (Thailand’s air navigation service provider) as the local subcontractor for the landmark Gautam Buddha International Airport (GBIA) project — one of Nepal’s designated National Pride Projects, funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
As Nepal’s second international airport and a critical gateway to the Lumbini region, GBIA is poised to transform regional connectivity, tourism, and trade. Pacific Group’s role is foundational — executing complex local works spanning civil, mechanical, electrical, and advanced electronic systems — ensuring global standards are met on Nepali soil.
Pacific Group’s scope of work includes:
🏗️ Civil Construction — Site preparation, structural works, and facility development.
⚙️ Mechanical & Electrical Installations — Power systems, HVAC, and utility infrastructure.
📡 Electronic & Systems Integration — Supporting navigation, communication, and surveillance systems in coordination with Aerothai’s master plan.
Pacific Group’s scope covers civil construction, mechanical and electrical installations, and advanced electronic systems integration — all executed under the technical supervision of Aerothai and in compliance with international aviation standards. These components form the operational backbone of Gautam Buddha International Airport, enabling it to serve as a modern gateway for international travelers, support pilgrimage and tourism in the Lumbini region, and stimulate economic growth across Nepal’s western provinces.
